Yesterday I was invited to visit the Naqshbandi homepage, because it’s great, I was told. This caused me to take one of their articles and demonstrate once again the greatest Shirk that we can find in their writings.

The article, “Meded – Asking Support From Grandsheikh“, which I include below, contains several jaahilee concepts, among which:

Du`aa to Allah to derive from the Grandsheikh (Ad-Daghistani) from his spiritual care even from the grave.

We derive our spiritual power from his heart center.

…the breaths of Allah’s Saints give life to their followers, to their spiritual sons and daughters.

…a real Grandsheikh always keeps a watchful eye on his followers” [even if passed away]

Claim that to stand firmly in the face of our enemies: the lower self, Shaytaan, vain desires and worldliness, “we need his support,” and that “without such a strong support a person will be vanquished.

Their saying, “Therefore, we seek our Grandsheikh’s support by saying: “Meded Ya Sayyidi”, “Support, oh my Master.” “You must call upon your Grandsheikh in such a manner when you are in need of support, then that support may reach you.

Their claim that guidance reaches to our hearts through the Saints.

Their saying, “you must look for the support of the Saints in a Universe in which you are totally weak.

This article is useful for explaining how some people fall in shirk in all aspects of Tauheed:

Shirk in Tauheed ur-Ruboobeeyah:

Their claim that the Grandsheikh can bring good fortune or remove calamities; he can govern the affairs of this world and he is believed to have power and influence besides Allaah, or that Allaah creates creations that can cause harm and benefit to His creatures. The Grandsheikh is one upon whom we are dependent for guidance and spiritual strength.

Shirk in Tauheed ul-`Ibaadah:

Directing one’s acts of worship, such as du`aa (supplication), seeking help, tawakkul (trust and reliance), and hope for good fortune to other than Allaah.

Shirk in Tauheed ul-Asmaa’i was-Sifaat:

Attributing divine power to Allaah’s creation. Attributing to man the power to keep a watchful eye on his followers, whether alive or dead, the power and ability of guiding people’s hearts that belongs to Allah alone, and ability to answer prayers of Allaah’s creation and provide them with aid.
Refutation from the Qur’aan:

Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “And who is more astray than one who calls besides Allaah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection; and who are (even) unaware of their calls to them? And when mankind gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.” (46:5-6)

You Alone we worship and from You Alone we seek help.” (1:5)

Do they attribute to Allah those who created nothing but they themselves are created? No help can they give them, nor can they help themselves.” (7:191-2)

Those on whom you call besides Allaah are only slaves like yourselves.” (7:194)

Do not worship besides Allaah that which cannot help or harm you.” (21:66)

And those whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone). If you invoke them, they hear not your call, and if they were to hear, they could not grant it to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you like Him Who is the All-Knower.” (35:13-14)

And invoke not besides Allaah any that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case) you do so, you shall certainly be one of the Dhaalimooon. And if Allaah touches you with heart, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His Favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He will. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (16:107)

Also, “You worship besides Allah only idols, and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allaah have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allaah (Alone) and worship Him (Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you will be brought back.” (29:17)
Refutation from the Sunnah:

If you ask in prayer ask only Allah, and if you seek help, seek it only from Allaah.” [At-Tirmidhee, an-Nawawi’s Forth Hadith]

He who dies while praying to someone as rival to Allaah, the reward for such a person shall be the Fire of Hell.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhaaree)

O people of Quraish, sell your own souls. I will not be of any help to you before Allaah; O Abbaas ibn Abdul-Muttalib, I will not be of any help to you before Allaah; O Safiyah, aunt of Allaah’s Messenger, I will not be of any help to you before Allaah; O Faatimah, daughter of Muhammad, ask of my wealth what you wish, I will be of no avail to you before Allaah.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaaree)

During the days of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, there was a hypocrite who used to harm the believers, some of them (the believers) said: “Come (support) with us while we appeal to Allaah’s Messenger for assistance against this hypocrite.” The Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, replied, “Verily, no one should seek to me for assistance. Indeed, it is Allaah Who is to be sought for assistance and help.” (at-Tabaraanee)
Saying of a scholar, Ibn Rajab, rahmatullaahi `alayhi:

Know that it is an obligation to invoke Allah Alone in Du`aa, and not His creation. Invoking entails showing humiliation, destitution, need and poverty by the one
who is invoking while admitting that the one who is being invoked has power over delivering such matters as removing hardship, delivering the need, bringing about benefit and fending off harm. Admitting (and showing) humility and meekness
can only be revealed to Allaah, Alone, for this is the essence of worship.

Proofs are numerous, since Shirk is crystal clear in their article, “wa laa Hawla wa la quwwata illaa billaah (and there is no ability or power save by Allaah).

Meded – Asking Support From Grandsheikh

Our Grandsheikh is Sheikh Abdullah Al-Faiz Ad-Daghistani, may Allah Almighty sanctify his blessed soul and draw him ever closer to His Divine Presence. May He Almighty cause us to benefit from Grandsheikh’s blessings and teachings, and from his spiritual care for us even from the grave. We derive our spiritual power from his heart center. If he cuts us off we are stranded. Every breath that our Grandsheikh turns toward us from his spiritual breaths is like a warm spring breeze which blows on the bare branches of trees, causing buds and blossoms to burst forth.

Like the spring breeze that carries the revival of life within it, so do the breaths of Allah’s Saints give life to their followers, to their spiritual sons and daughters. That relationship is stronger than the relationship to our parents, as there is only a short period of time in which they are all and everything to their small children, and, ultimately, it is very difficult for them to influence their children to follow the way of life that they would choose for them. Perhaps those children will leave them and go away to the far corners of the Earth and choose a way of life totally unrelated to that of their parents. But a real Grandsheikh always keeps a watchful eye on his followers, whether that Grandsheikh be living in this world or already has passed on to the existence beyond this world. He never abandons them.

Yes, we are always seeking our Grandsheikh’s support, support that will help us act according to our Lord’s commands, and support to help us stand firmly in the face of our enemies: the lower self, Satan, vain desires and worldliness. For both of these goals – progress on the right way and avoiding deviation from it completely – we need his support. Without such a strong support a person will be vanquished.

Therefore, we seek our Grandsheikh’s support by saying: “Meded Ya Sayyidi”, “Support, oh my Master.” You must call upon your Grandsheikh in such a manner when you are in need of support, then that support may reach to you. The more you feel yourself to be weak and in need of support, the more support he will extend to you. But the more you depend on your own knowledge and your mind’s powers, the less support you will receive, as Grandsheikh will say: “He is self-sufficient, so why lend him support. Leave him in the hands of his ego.”

When the Holy Prophet asked his Lord, “Oh my Lord, don’t leave me in the hands of my ego even for a moment“, he was seeking refuge from two undesirable possibilities: 1) to be left in the hands of his ego’s base desires, and 2) to be left alone to guide himself only by his mind and knowledge. In both these ways the ego attempts to separate us from true guidance, and in admitting our weakness and seeking support in the face of the ego’s trickery we gain that help.

Divine Guidance and help reached to our Prophet through the Archangel Gabriel who acted as Allah’s representative in carrying His revelation to the Prophets, so that Divine Help reaches to the Saints via the Holy Prophet, who acted as Allah Almighty’s representative in bringing guidance to his Nation. And ultimately, after the Prophet’s time, that guidance reaches to our hearts through the Saints, his inheritors, as we have not yet developed the senses with which to listen directly to the Prophet’s guidance. Some foolish people, even among the Muslims, will undoubtedly deny this, saying that all that remains of the Holy Prophet’s guidance is what is written in books. This point of view, far from being the reality, is a blind man’s view, for were the Holy Prophet to have taken those powers with him upon his death there would remain no more religion, no more faith, no nothing from Islam. No, that prophetic power never leaves the Earth; it is only transformed and distributed through the awareness of the Holy Prophet’s inheritors.

Therefore, you must look for the support of the Saints in a Universe in which you are totally weak. Once you have established a good connection with such a person you will always be in contact with him: a “wire” will carry current to your heart from his power source. That aid will make itself felt most in times of need. Now it is daytime and you don’t seek a torch, no need; but at night such a small light will prevent you from falling into a pit.

    1. You have a valid question. I used to practice a form of sufism where it was all about developing your character and Ikhlaq such as being kind and courteous to others and having good speech and manners. I was on a spirtual high until the person leading us for several months started to assign attributes of Allah subhan wa taala to Prophet Muhammad. I left becauae it was pure shirk. A dead person -martyr, saint or a prophet – can’t answer your duaas. Duaa is an form of ibaadah or worship and it can only be directed to Allah subhan wa taala. Quran says: ” And who is more astray than one who calls on (invokes) besides Allaah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them?
      [al-Ahqaaf 46:5]

Sufi gatherings are great for purifying heart and soul but I would stay away from their Aqeeda.

      1. As slamo alykum w.r, above you brothers and sisters need to ask ALLAH AZO AJAL for guidance to a true path. Silsila Naqshbandiya directly connects with Hazrat Abu Bakr Sideeque R.A who has attained noor of Devine knowledge from our Dear Prophet sallalahu alihae wa aalehe wasallam and Him directly from ALLAH AZA O AJAL. All these Bazurgs are related to each other like a Tasbeeh and they are all flowers of a unique different shapes and smells benefiting our souls. We ordinary Muslims can never get into Divinely presence without an Imam a sheikh a leader. All Arwahs of these choosen Bazurgs are living and present if ones heart is not open to this, then it’s a matter of great worry. We Pray for the Noor of Guidance unto correct path which ALLAH AZO AJAL loves the most leading us in the company of the Sulahas. Shukran

      2. Your saying that the martyrs as dead shows that you are a deviant as the Quran Sharif has clearly warn not to call the martyrs as dead…Allah knows best

      3. Your saying that the martyrs as dead shows that you are a deviant as the Quran Sharif has clearly warn not to call the martyrs as dead…Allah knows best

  1. I am a proud sunni and I believe in the Auliyaah Allah. I worship Allah but seek assistance by these saints to gain further closeness to my Almighty Allah.

“alla inna auliya allahi la khawfun alayhim wa la hum yah zanoon”

  2. there’s a lot to tell u but i wanna complete it within few words dear brother. tell me one thing, whenever u needed money for your tuition, did you ask your father or you asked Allah pak directly? didn’t you ever ask for anything to anyone other than Allah pak? then are you not doing shirk? Allah pak is the only source of everything but whatever He gives us, He does it through some medium.

    1. Narrated An-Nu’man ibn Bashir:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Supplication (du’a’) is itself the worship.
(He then recited:) “And your Lord said: Call on Me, I will answer you” (xI.60).

      English translation : Book 8, Hadith 1474

Assalaaamu alikum… Shirk is when someone associates a Partner with Allah (swt) in WORSHIP…
DUA IS WORSHIP as mentioned in the Hadith above… Going to a doctor r asking someone for money is not worship
      Hope it’s clear
      Wassalamu alikum

      1. This is pure and perfect logic. Alhamdulillah!.

Though – and Allah is my witness – i never heard any of these sufis make Du’a to their sheikh, i understand through your brilliant (alhamdulillah) demonstration that a request for help or support (madad) is in fact a disguised supplication (Du’a), so this is a proof that they worship their sheikh.

So when i ask help from someone who is better than me in Islam, – like make a Du’a for me – it is shirk, because it means that i adore this person instead of Allah? I agree, it is very common to follow blindly more advanced people. Pure logic.

When you say “Shirk is when someone associates a Partner with Allah (swt) in WORSHIP…”, you are saying that those sufi consider that their sheikh has created the worlds with Allah?

Salam aleikum wa RahmatulLahi wa Barakatuhu.

    2. I dnt agree wd you..

Allah Says in the Quran “fazkuruni az kurukum washkuruli wala takfuroon”….. Allah doesnt need any dead or live for this kind of intercession / intermediatory..

      Wallahi this is pure shirk..

only these kinds of Tawassul to Allah allowed.

      1) by calling to him through his beautiful names…as it is mentioned in Quran..
Allah says” and Allah has beautiful names. call him with these names

      2) By a good deed , but that deed should be done only for the sake of Allah SWT..

      3) By asking another person to make dua for me ,,remember that person should be a True Believer(Momin) ..

You don’t need to ask him for help ,, Rather ask him to pray for you to Allah SWT

      4) By asking Allah though the waseelah of the love between you and the Prophet Muhammad SAW

    3. Yes , you ca ask from those alive for dua and not through someone who is dead and buried. So one can ask Awaliya , if one true one is around, else today there is one awailya sitting every corner selling his tareeqa,

  3. whenever you get sick you go to a doctor. why do you do so? why don’t you ask Allah pak to heel you directly? if without the medium or messenger we would get the salvation, prophets wouldnt come n Allah would send us revelation directly.

  4. we know Allah is the doer n giver of everything. but He takes medium so asking for something to someone is never shirk as that person cant give you anything from anyother source but Allah pak. If Allah doesnt give from where we’ll get? its not the matter of asking that makes shirk rather the wrong concept makes the shirk where we think of another God. im ready to talk bout it in details if u do email me. since then Allah hafiz.

    1. Sufi Grand Sheikh can see in the heart of his mureed , is this not enough a shirk, will seek forgives on the day of judgement for his disciples, is this not rubbish and insult to Prophet, language and rage dipicted , does this sounds like , you re following the sunnah , was this kind of rage visible through sunnah? Such language and behaviour is not a response of a muslim, creating ans seeking through anyone other then Allah is forbidden, Fear Allah as we all be answerable for our actions, words and deeds.

  6. [ 964 ]
حدثنا أبو نعيم قال حدثنا سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن عبد الرحمن بن سعد قال خدرت رجل بن عمر فقال له رجل اذكر أحب الناس إليك فقال يا محمد

Imam al-Bukhari related in his Adab al-Mufrad (no. 964):
Abu Nu’aym related to us who said that Sufyan related to us from Abu Ishaq from Abdar Rahman ibn Sa’d, who said:

Ibn Umar had numbness in his leg, whereupon a man said to him:

“Remember the most beloved of people to you”, so he said: “Ya Muhammad”

  7. Proof it that above is shirk.
you are calling that to see the follower is shirk
prove it in light of quran and sunna.

    Allah says to his messenger

”dont you see what i did with ashab -ul-feel”

if you dare prove it according to quran and sunnah.
dont paste qurani ayat that are against idols on sufis.

  8. if i have a fever, and i eat medecine, then i become better, would i say i was healed becoz of the medicine or becoz of Allah? This is the point that you haven’t grasp dear brother..

  9. We are not talking about material things. We are talking about the spiritual experience in Islam. Asking money from your father or taking medicine has nothing to do with spirituality. Materialism doesn’t explain spirituality. Those are daily material interactions in this mortal life. Keep the apples and oranges separate…

In our souls we seek refuge only in Allah SWT. All prayers are to Allah SWT.

No human being can replace that connection. You can ask for help from your teachers for your education while they are alive. You may love and respect them. But once they die it is all over. The only help always comes from Allah SWT.

The Salvation can only be achieved by remembering, praising and praying to Allah SWT.
There is no concept of saints in Islam. In Christianity they have it, but not in Islam.
    That is shirk!!!

Esselamu aleikum ve rahmetullahi ve berekatuh!

  10. you guyz are so stupid first find what shirk is before you make commints-shierk is calling some one equal to allah but no won does that not even the sufis. to ask some one who is closer to god might help you out buddy – god doest eceppt dua for a person who commits zina you have to repent first.every one needs help in the world also. But it comesdown to allah at the end any wayz sufi way is right if you have a open mind to find out the truth

  11. It was interesting to read your views on sufism brother. Well I see that there are some contradictory comments to your post from majority of people, and I am also addition to it. Means – I am an avid follower of sufism

I think we have misunderstood each other’s ( the author and the reader) thought. The text can never show the true emotions of the writer, but some tried their level best to display their anger.

Let me interpret your post – Going to tombs/graves, praying there, prostrating and making supplication or asking them for help is SHIRK. That is precisely what you say.

I agree with your that prostrating at graves/tombs is Shirk, as prostrating is only for Allah. During the period of Yousuf (a.s) it was allowed, but for ummah of Muhammad (Sallalahu alai Wasallam SAW) it is prohibited.

Your were irked by reading the article on “THE NAQSHBANDI” Tariqa. Kindly note that NAQSHBANDI is tariqa in sufism, dont blame sufism if you have not liked the article.

And regarding dead hearing, well Allah (Swt) says in Quran that “Verily you cannot make the dead hear,”[Surah an-Naml 27:80] . Ponder on the words, that you cannot make dead hear, it is Allah who can make alive the dead and no one has ability to make dead hear except Allah. If Allah wants, the dead can hear. We human cannot make dead person hear. This means its Allah’s wish and if he wants even dead can hear, even mountain can run marathon, and bush will start following Osama’s foot steps

    Look at following hadith

Abu Talhah reported: “On the day of the Battle of Badr, Allah’s Prophet (saws) ordered that the bodies of twenty-four leaders of the Quraysh be thrown into one of the foul, abandoned wells of Badr. On the third day after the battle the Prophet called for his mount and saddled it. Then he set out, so his companions followed him. They said amongst themselves, “He must be going to something important.” When the Prophet (saws) arrived at the well[6], he stood at its edge and began addressing those therein by calling upon them by their names, “O so and so, son of so and so; and you, so and so, son of so and so! Would it not have been easier to have obeyed Allah and His Messenger? We have found that which our Lord promised us to be true[7]. Did you find what your Lord promosed you to be true?[8] Thereupon ‘Umar said, “O Messenger of Allah, what are you saying to these bodies without souls?! Do they hear? For Allah, the Majestic and Mighty, says, “Verily, you cannot make the dead hear.”[Surah an-Naml 27:80] The Prophet (saws) answered, “By Him in whose hand lies the soul of Muhammad, you did not hear better than them and what i just said.” Qatadah added: “Allah brought them back to life (momentarily) in order to make them hear as a means of scorn and belittlement and [so that they would feel] regret and remorse.” [Authentically related by al-Bukhari and Muslim]

    Torment of grave

If a person is dead, then will he feel the pain during torment of grave? Well there are various hadith (which you can browse), which says that even dead feel the pain same as the living, another hadith says that while the dead body is carried the soul says take me to the grave (if it is of pious) and the wicked soul says ” dont take me to the grave”, humans cant hear this. – This means that everything is in Allah’s hand. If you move closer to Allah, then how Allah communicates with you, will be known only to you and no one else.

I do accept that there are misconceptions reagrding dargha/tomb, etc. But you cant generalise and say that sufism is part of it. Almost all sufis (ok lets forget the term sufi), almost all people who are considered as saints, were strict follower of shariah’. May be there are few bad ones who have spoiled the tank.
Just try to find more literate on sufi….for time being ignore tariqat. First understand what tassawwuf is, and dont come to conclusion directly.

Note: Half knowledge is always dangerous for all. Few commentor also have half knowledge including me. We all are from modern world, we have not studies in 100% islamic institution set up, we have not read quran from morning to evening like people do in madarsa, many of us even dont know Tajweed properly, we have not studies Tafsir ibn kasir, or maariful quran or Tafsir al jalalayn at length.

A person who has acquired sound islamic knowledge and knows each and every dimension of Islam would be best person to guide us on this topic. May Allah bless us and put us on straight path, and help to fight with shayatini misunderstanding and restrain us from offending our own muslim brother and sisters

Allah ilm – Allah is best knower

    Mirza Rafath

  12. Sufism is not a new sect or Bid’ah.
It is a methodology of purifying your heart, mind, soul and striving for perfection.
They go according to only the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
The true Sufi’s try to follow the sunnah as much as they can in their daily life and try their best to reflect the characteristics of Prophet Muhammad(sws)
People need to start opening their hearts and minds and stop assuming things and jumping to conclusions. We will get judged for every particular action we perform so dont be so quick to criticise.
If you would like more information on this aspect, feel free to email me. I hope this has made people understand things more clearly.

  13. Salaam Alaikum,

It should ring warning bells when passages from Allah’s perfect speach; The Quran, that where sent down to idolators of the past can be used to describe the actions of certain muslims in terms of worship. The prophet PBUH never claimed to be a sufi, and as far as my knowledge allows me to understand he has never used that word. The same can be said about the Sahaba. Why is it that the prophet PBUH never asked teh dead for intercession? Was he PBUH not the best in worship? Was he PBUH not the most knowledgable in ways to get oneself nearer to Allah SWT? Allah Musta-an

  14. Assalamu alaikum
I am a psychologyst and prophetopathic physician fro india
I will travel to Dhaka in 2dys time to conduct a study with a
    Bangladeshi sufi tombs
I hv visited your blog and I am starting to your beautiful country!
Thank you for the historical photos!
I hope we will have the opportunity to meet some living sufis and
sufi musicians while I am in Dhaka.
    urs faithfully

  15. and Allah knows best……did Allah revealed messages to sahaba directly or did He convey the messages through Gabriel to the Prophet pbuh and to sahabas and us, I am sure if someone follow sharia as well as for purifying the heart follow the zikr methods which is in the Quran and which has been used by auliya , to my view sufism is achieving purity with intention of getting help from a saint a spiritual mentor who himself have been getting spiritual benefits from the Prophet P, and the main source of all is Allah, There isnt any shirk in this its a chain to which we need to attach to go higher to know and connect to Allah and get benefits in world and hereafter,, to become friend of Allah you need to have friendship with his friends….

  16. Asking your father or a doctor is totally different from asking from a dead person!!! Also dont give these saints the qualities of Allah! Stay away from the bid’ah and shirk! May Allah save us and guide us!

  17. This is the Muslim’s eternal problem, fighting and abusing eachother. The only right way is following the Quran and the Sunnah. Do all the fardh and sunnah you are asked for by Allah the Almighty, enjoy all Halal things and stay away from Haram. Live a simple life out of all these complications of belonging to any sect or group and be happy. And ofcourse make a direct connection with Allah because Allah subhanahuwata’la says: ‘Ask for forgiveness and I will forgive’. He calls Himself Al Ghaffur Al Rahim. Allah forgives everything except SHIRK so stay away from anything that even smells of shirk and may Allah make things easy for all.

  18. I concur with Shama. We all have this problem. Fard and Sunnah, anything else may or may not be risky. And if something is conspicuous it is better to stay away from it. Still each to it’s own. And no one has a right to kill anyone, NO ONE!

  19. Dear Brothers and Sisters: we should be mindful of the definition of Shrik and then apply this. Whenever you see some one in prostration people start calling shirk. There is BIG DIFFERENCE bewteen Shirk and Haram act. If you see someone prostrating in front of a tomb or grave, there are two possibilities: either he is prostrating out of respect (Tazeem) thinking that the man in the grave is high and venerable and this person is showing Tazeem by prostrating. the second possibility is that this person is prostrating (doing Sajdah) thinking the man in grave as his god. In the first case, his prostration (Sajdah-e-Tazeemi) would a HARAM act, and this person is though sinful but by no means a MUSHRIK. In the second case the said person doing a act that falls in the category of Shirk. This example shows that it all depends on the intention of the doer that makes the same act (of doing Sajdah or prospration) a Haram act or Shirk. Think of those who lable every prostrating person as MUSHRIK without knowing the internal intention of the prostrating person. Do they do a good thing making a sinful man a MUSHRIK?

  20. I wonder the opponents of Sufism are against this concept on two basis: this word was not used by the blessed Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and even the blessed Sahaba. So it has no connection and place in our religious thought. Secondly, sufi content is full of those practices that fall in the category of Shirk and Bidhat that is why it is unlawful in our religious life.
    1. Those who think that this word was not even in use during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and Sahaba Karam, they should also take into account that “Ilm-ul-Kalam” division of Hadith into “Sahih”, “Dhaheef” and so on were not prevelant during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and even during the time of Sahab Karam. This division of Hadith is done by later jurists. These opponents of Sufism accept this division of Hadith without any objection though it was a later product, but they are not ready to accept Sufism which came into being during the same time when Hadith Ulooms are being codified. Secondly, the Whole Ummah is following 4 Imams in Fiqh (Hanfi, Shafi, Malki, Hanbali). My question is: DID THE HOLY PROPHET (PEACE BE UPON HIM) EVER MENTIONED THAT THERE WILL BE IMAMS AND YOU FOLLOW THEM? Even the concept of these Imams was not prevalent during the time of Sahab Karam. BY the standard set by these people this acceptance of Imams in Fiqh should be a BIDAH. If it is Bidah, then more than 90% Ummah had become Innovators, and only 10 % who don’t follow any Imam should be true faithfuls, and this is impossible because the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in Hadiths advised his Ummah to be with the bigger group during the time of religious strife. Who is a biger group? those who follow Imams or the otherwise?. If Ummah has accepted 4 Imams and the concept was not prevalent during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and blessed Sahaba Karam, then what’s wrong about Sufism? As for content of Sufism is concerned: Without going into detail, the content of sufism are all based on religious practices:
    1- Doing excessive Zikr
    2. piety
    3. Tawakul
    4. Jihad against Nafs
    5. Tablieeg-e- Deen as done by many sufia karam
    6. visiting tombs and graves
    7. sitting in the company of saints and religious pious men.
Homestly speaking what is against the spirit of Deen that is mentioned above. i understand people will not contest excessive Zikr, Tawakul etc, but the idea of visiting graves and asking for intercession, and tombs is irritating to them. In fact this very idea is misunderstood. In order to explain this, i ask simple questions:
    1. Is it unlawful to visit any grave? If not as we know that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) permitted us to visits graves.
    2. Is intercession is unlawful? There are two Hadiths in Bukhari Sharif which prove the concept of intercession. Given to constraint of space i only mention briefly. in one Hadith three people were caught in a cave and they presented their best deed for intercession and got released from the cave. This is a very famous Hadith and even school going children know about this story. In another Hadith, it is reported Hazrat Umar (radiyallahu anhu) prayed for rain ( there was draught) and used Hazrat Abbad (the uncle of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) as intercession and they got rain. This Hadith is given in Bukhari Sharif. This means THAT WE CAN PRESENT OUR GOOD DEEDS AS WELL AS PIOUS AND SACRED PERSON AS A TOKEN OF INTERCESSION. When someone goes to a grave of a Wali Allah and prays to Allah Almighty by invoking the Wasila (intercession) of that sacred person for his prayer: what’s wrong with it? Isn’t it similar to that of Hazrat Umar (radiyallahu anhu) who invoked the blessed presenceof Hazrat Abbas (radiyallahu anhu)? The point remains that people directly ask: ” O Baba Jee give me a son! “O Baba Jee give me …….” so on and so forth. This thing is debateable.

  21. Allah (SWT) says. Call upon Me and I will answer you[40:60].

And I am pretty confident and cent percent sure that I don’t need any saints or sheikhs to recommend me to Allah. If I am not being answered by Allah because of my sins, It is my responsibility to ask him forgiveness directly. I don’t need to run to any saints to pray for me. Allah has not appointed any one to become mediators for his creations to reach him. If so, did Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught any such things that saints or sheikhs from his family or sahabas family tree are always so close to Allah so the rest of the silly mankind should come to Allah through only these peoples. No!!!. If you don’t get answers for your prayers or wishes ponder upon your heart. Ask for forgiveness to Allah directly from the bottom of your heart. Or else he will testing you to making you more closer to him.

If you look closer how Iblees has manipulated Isa (AS) (Jeasus) teaching, you can see the same pattern he is playing with in muslims. He made in such a way that Jesus is Allah son or Allah’s representation for mankind so everyone should only pray to him. Also Iblees has manipulated Allah’s Injeel to support these views.

Allah says in the Quran that this is his book and he will protect it (15:9). So Iblees has no way to manipulate it like he did on Allah’s previous scriptures. So he played the same script with in people by falsifying hadiths and making people to believe that you should need a mediator to reach Allah.

It’s the same deception from the same script writer (Iblees).Be aware.

    May Allah guide as All.

  22. Sufi and shia shirk is like the shirk of hindus, christians, qurayshi pagans and so on, they just have diffirent “saviours” they think will bring them closer to Allah swt. Those who dont recognize obvious shirk when they see it and try to argue and claim its not shirk only fool their own souls. Alhamdolillah for making me muslim and not sufi or shia.

  23. Brothers and Sisters.
We are living in this world to worship Allah alone. He does not forgive Shirk. If you doubt any act where there is a possbility of Shirk please stay away. Otherwise you will regret tomorrow. Allah and Prophet has shown us the correct path and let us stick to that.

  24. Thank you for enlightening us with this, I agree with your comments, still very dad to see how continue to believe In this tradition of sheikhs and pirs

  25. Furaq,

Do you even know what Wahhabism is? Have you ever read the teachings of imam Ibn Wahhab. I don’t think so. You think you’re true Muslims by worshipping graves and saying Ya Ghaus Ya data. These are the titles of Allah Allmighty and the only person who can intercede on the day of judgement is our beloved Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him) and that too with Allah’s will. No doubt Abdul Qadir Jilani’s teachings are amazing but he taught us Tawheed oneness of Allah not to bring intercessors in the middle as everyone is answerable for their own deeds even Abdul
Qadir Jillani for that matter and everyone has to go in their own graves. the Awliya as long as they’re alive no doubt they have karamah but a true Awliya would never ask to build a Tomb over his grave as making graves places of worship were forbidden by our Holy Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him). Please get some knowledge and try and understand things brother. We are all Muslims and we should unite instead of dividing ourselves into sects. La Ilaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasoolalah. This is what we are based on. Nothing else. Most of the Awliya they teach us Tawheed Oneness of Allah.

  26. The wahabis, salafis and munafiqs will never be able to connect to Allah the way The Sufis and their students does. Without a strong, spiritual and proper Teacher one can’t expect to become a right Student. These Sufis are great Teachers and Scholars and they know best what they mean to teach and preach and what their Mureeds/ Students follow righteously and religiously.

“Sallual al habeeb, Sallalahu ta’la ala Mohammed”

    1. Bro!these sufis are thinking of their bellies!Sufism is not Islam!Either u remain a Muslim or u become a Sufi!u can’t be a Sufi and a Muslim at the same time!!!!!!Sufism is a sect !it is an order like freemasonry! U are guided by the devil!!!!!!

  27. Sufism has nothing to do with Islam!sufism is like free masonry!obey your shaikh and he will fight for janna for you!its jahalat!!!!come on !try to be Muslims and not murders!mureedism will lead u directly to the hell fire!!!!!beware of sufism!!!!!!!!

  28. Sufism has nothing to do with Islam!sufism is like free masonry!obey your shaikh and he will fight for janna for you!its jahalat!!!!come on !try to be Muslims and not mureeds!mureedism will lead u directly to the hell fire!!!!!beware of sufism!!!!!!!!

  29. A/aleykum
on day of qiyama there will be 73 groups of muslim, 72 groups will go in hell include wahabbi, shia, ibadhi, etc. And 1 group will go in jannah that is sufism

  30. i was reading all those comments in a details and i find that sufism and Islam are two separate wats that do not connect with each other and they will fall you Astray As Allah has proved this in Quran
i heard that people feel difference when they visits darbaars and make wishes and after that your wishes come true immediately and thats the big shortcut one do not have to be in a state of Emaan all that the time instead he can make his wishes come true or get his health on their behalf but why don’t you noticed something wrong? look i can explain this thing to you by an example
there are two ways to become rich either you work hard by leaps and bounds and wait for decades for the profitable income or either you can rob some money and become rich. so those people are following the second way they are losing their Emaan for the sake of their worldy wishes or health.
I have heard some fellows are saying that if you are connected with some kind of chain you will be so close to Allah but now i am questioning the faith of mystics that are they trustworthy to lead us to the righf path? now which right path are they talking about when already have Quran And Sunnah which connects us with ALLAH Almighty now is that knowledge incomplete? and still is there any need to follow the footsteps of sufis because they knew something that we don’t knew? Allah teaches us in Quran that everyone is following his own way of life and God knows better who is on right path and we still cannot make this judgment that they are the most pious or they will inhabite in Jannah
so i leave this decision to Allah who knows better than anyone else and may he guide us to the straight path which he promised in quran.

  31. Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim wassaltu wassalam ala sayyidina muhammad wa ala ali sayyidina muhammad wa barik wa salim. If Ottoman empire was still here you wahabis would not exist. This is from Allah to seperate munafiqoon and muminoon this is akhir zaman era of Dajjal same goes to those who curse khulafah rashidoon when mahdi comes he will destroy that corrupt ideology that only become widespread in the last hundred or so years. Wake up

  32. Can I just say what a relief to find somebody who truly is aware of what theyre speaking about on the internet. You undoubtedly know tips on how to convey a problem to mild and make it important. More people must learn this and understand this aspect of the story. I cant consider youre not more widespread because you definitely have the gift.

    *[Termination of Duality/Partner]*

*The Creator manifests itself, everything in its creations. Nothing is going to be by chance.*
*Everything manifested is prepared, arranged and programmed. The programming is very fine.*
The breathings of a person are numbered and it is written, *”how many breaths you should breathe throughout your life”* That number never changes. It is also written, at which place you should breathe and at which time. Each one finishes his breathings in one place and then reaches on to a different place to find his breathings.
*Everyone is programmed as to which way he should step in. You have to place this foot in the exact place and it cannot be a little bit to the right, or a little bit to the left, not even slightly backward or slightly forward. A very fine arrangement.*

The Creator’s Will has been programmed into creation’s life up to the finest point. That is absolute perfection for the Creator and for his actions.
*Therefore we are not able to have everything that we may wish for us, materially or physically, if our wishes are out of this programme.* But we may be able to change our, thoughts & emotions to accept and accommodate, the material and physical world, which was programmed by creator for us.
*But the changing of the thoughts & the emotions is our free will and not mentioned in that programme.*
*The best way for the creation is to accept and to surrender to this Creator’s Programming. That will help to eliminate, the duality between the Creator and the Creation* [Creator and the creation will become, one].
*When a human does not purify the consciousness (Pray), to accommodate and accept the will of the Creator (Destiny), he/she (Creations), will not be in peace*
