January 25, 2008 Temecula, California.  While our country is completely preoccupied with the election and the looming recession of our economy, Israel — our American government’s close ally who just received our generous $30 billion aid package — is engaging in what has been called a war crime and genocide against the Palestinian population in Gaza.

Human Rights organizations of all religious persuasions have been speaking out against the Gaza siege, joined by an expanding outcry from non-governmental and governmental organizations throughout the world.    While leaders of the Muslim community in the US are calling for a special prayer during the Muslim Friday Prayers today, MuslimBridges.org is calling on all Churches and Synagogues to join with Muslims in prayers, and denounce the Israeli siege during the Jewish services on Friday night and Saturday, and the Christian services on Sunday.

Israel has imposed a complete lock-down of Gaza, this most densely populated place on earth. That means not only sealed borders and no access to food or medicine, but gas and electricity are also shut down. It is more than a miserable existence; it is a slow death.   Many are now calling it a war crime.  This siege intensified immediately after the $30 billion generous aid package was handed to Israel during the recent President Bush visit to Israel.

“Israel thinks it can get away with it because we are too busy with our problems, but this time it is different. Now people are fed up and recognize that Israel is often the aggressor behind our mess.  What really concerns us now is that other crises may surface, such as a war with Iran, or another scandal bigger than the Mohammed cartoon, just to shift the attention away from the Gaza Siege,” said R. Shahman, an activist with MuslimBridges.org.

In anticipation of a potential scandal, MuslimBridges.org is looking to the Interfaith community to publicly denounce hate and slander against Muslims, and communicate to all people of faith that slander is not a result of “clash of religions,” Rather it is a clash of “Believers Vs. Unbelievers,” often manipulated for political reasons to avert attention from the real challenges facing all of us.

MuslimBridges.org applauds the support of all believers from Churches and faith-based organizations such as the Rabbis of NETUREI KARTA in Monsey N.Y., who make a clear distinction that Judaism absolutely rejects Zionism and speak out against the brutal occupation of Palestine by Israel.   This is in complete contrast to the so called “Top Rabbis of Israel” who are advocating genocide and carpet bombing against all Christians and Muslims in Gaza, “ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings” said Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu — one of the most senior theocrats in the Jewish State (The Jerusalem Post, May 30, 2007).

“We hope and expect our friends in Churches and Synagogues will denounce the Israeli siege, and any possible slander, just as every Islamic Center and Muslim organization in the US is providing a clear position standing against terrorism, putting it in writing and signing the Fatwa against terrorism,” stated Mrs. Shahman

Leaders of Churches and Synagogues are encouraged to participate in the following actions:

  1. Power of prayer:  To Join with Muslims in prayers for Peace and Justice in Palestine, the occupied Land.   May God ease the suffering and bring about a peaceful solution.
  2. To denounce the use by Israel of American taxpayers’ money to starve Gaza into a slow genocide and to demand a freeze on all aid given to Israel paid for by our tax money. The following Links are offered on MuslimBridges.org so that every member of a church or synagogue can simply send a clear message to our elected officials demanding immediate intervention.
Contact White HouseContact your SenatorContact your Representative
  3. To educate congregations that slander, hate and siege and slow death of a rival group has no place in faith.  Educational tools, articles and books are available through MuslimBridges.org.

Masters of torture – Dwarfing Abu Ghraib

Few years ago, a Palestinian family immigrated to the US and settled in Southern California.  The father is such a wonderful man, he has a “Gold Tooth” quite visible once you see him smile.  How he got his gold tooth is the subject of this story full of twists and turns, injustice, sadness, patience, and hope for liberation.

Unable to get any work in the occupied territories, he managed to get a work contract in Saudi Arabia.

With hard and honest work, he was doing very well and things really looked good for a change.  After a couple of years of non stop work, he was missing his family, and could not take the separation any longer.  He arranged to take a full month vacation and unite back with his family in the occupied territories.

The flight was short, but once he arrived, he had to follow strict security procedure by the Israeli authorities.  He heard many comments about the many gifts he brought for his family.  He explained about his absence for two years, finally was able to go home after 8 hours of intensive questioning and searches.

He made it home at last.  He was excited; his family was beyond joy to see him.  It was almost the perfect reunion.

In the middle of the night they woke up to the sound of loud commotion and knocking on the door.  “BAM BAM BAM open the door”, “Open the door now. BAM BAM BAM”. Continue reading “Masters of torture – Dwarfing Abu Ghraib”

President Jefferson’s ‘Will’- a discussion

Jordanian Professor and Saudi Islamist Discuss President Jefferson’s ‘Will’

May 27, 2004 Al-Manar TV (Lebanon)

The Hizbullah television station, Al-Manar, hosted a discussion between Dr. Ghazi Rabab’a, Professor of Political Science at Jordan University, and Dr. Muhsen Al-‘Awaj from Saudi Arabia, Spokesman for the World Campaign for Resisting Aggression, in which they discussed the right of the Jews to reside in the Jerusalem. Dr. Rabab’a mentioned an alleged declaration by President Jefferson calling on the American people to expel the Jews. This false declaration is commonly attributed in the Arab media to “President” Benjamin Franklin. Following is a verbatim translation of excerpts from their discussion, broadcasted on May 27, 2004.

Dr. Ghazi Rabab’a: In the Pact of Omar, which was translated and signed by (Jerusalem archbishop) Sophronius and ‘Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, Sophronius set one condition to ‘Omar – that no Jew will live in Jerusalem.

Meaning, this demand came from Sophronius, who was the Christian representative at the time, because he knew that only Islam would protect the holy places, while the Jews will be disloyal to them. The Pact of Omar, which was given by ‘Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, the leader of the believers, to the residents of Aelia –its name then changed to Aelia – stated that the Muslims would protect their crucifixes and churches, that not one of them would be harmed and that no Jew would live in Aelia.

This is why today, when we appeal to Christian public opinion, we should say that we must revive the Pact of Omar and stand shoulder to shoulder in the face of this Jewish attack, which claims that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel. There is an Islamic-Christian agreement that no Jew will live in Jerusalem.

Dr. Muhsen Al-‘Awaji: (Today, we face) a group of people, a gang, which gathered, or more accurately, which were purged from all the countries of the world. They have become loathsome in European eyes and that is why the Europeans vomited them onto our occupied land. They have become loathsome in the eyes of America and a moment ago the Doctor reminded us of the American president who advised the American nation to rid itself of the Jews so they will not enslave them.

So did the English and French who purged society – Excuse me for saying this but it’s their documented world view…

Dr. Ghazi Rabab’a: Yes, the Ghettos.

Dr. Muhsen Al-‘Awaji:…Saving their societies from the quote unquote Jewish “plague” amidst them. Our brothers from all over the Islamic world know that a Jew or a Christian from their country has the right to live there, just like the Arab Muslim has the right to live there. But, gathering those from Poland, Holland, Russia, the North Pole, the South Pole…gathering them here and forcing them like a cancerous tumor into the center of the Arab Islamic body…

They have no common language with those who surround them, nor do they share their political platform with their surroundings… And then they come with this arrogance and enslave the entire world in order to allow them to violate these rights and commit these official assassinations, approved by their highest ranking officials, and after all this we are told we must discuss their legitimacy? No!

Dr. Ghazi Rabab’a: Our brothers, the Christians in these countries, are being persecuted by the Western Christians, whose Christian faith has Judaized them. 200 years ago, -President Jefferson told the American people in an official speech, “If you do not expel the Jews from your land, they will enslave you and turn you into slaves in your own lands.” Today, in American cinema and television, they broadcast that whoever is against Israel is also against God. In films, produced by Jews, Our Lady the Virgin is depicted whoring with the soldier Panthera. This is an extremely grave issue.

If we open the Talmud, the Jews’ false book, we see that they say about Jesus that he was crazy, the deceiver of the Israelites, they tried to kill and crucify him, but they could not…

Iran Says It Can Enrich Uranium on a Large Scale

Iran Says It Can Enrich Uranium on a Large Scale

NATANZ, Iran, April 9 — Iran said Monday that it was now capable of industrial-scale uranium enrichment, a development that would defy two United Nations resolutions passed to press the country to suspend its enrichment program.

The announcement was greeted with skepticism by Western diplomats and nuclear experts, who said the declaration seemed to have more to do with political showmanship than technical progress. While reporters were invited to the country’s main nuclear complex at Natanz, they were not shown any evidence that enrichment of uranium, the step needed to make reactor fuel or bomb fuel, was under way.

In a speech on Monday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that if the West did not end its pressure against Iran to halt the production of uranium, Iran would review its policy of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations nuclear monitoring entity. Growing Islamophobia

President Bush reacting to the unearthing of the alleged bombing plot over the Atlantic August 10 remarked: “This nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation.”

On Aug. 7, during a press conference from his ranch in Texas, he said terrorists “try to spread their jihadist message – a message I call … Islamic radicalism, Islamic fascism”. A moment later, he said “Islamo-fascism” was an “ideology that is real and profound”. White House spokesman Tony Snow told the “Atlanta Journal-Constitution” Aug. 11 that the president will continue to use the phrase.

This is not the first time that Bush and members of his Administration have used this deliberate coupling of Islam with evil ideologies or actions, such as fascism or terrorism. Bush referred to “Islamo-fascism” in his address to the National Endowment for Democracy, Oct. 6, 2005. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) addressing Christians United for Israel (CUFI) held their first Washington-Israel Summit in Washington D.C., July 2006, declaring “Islamic fascism is a mosaic…” Continue reading “Growing Islamophobia”

BBC in legal bid to hide anti-Israel report
29/3/07 If any of you British citizens think your wallet feels a little light of late, perhaps the reason may be down to events at the BBC within the last few weeks. An internal memo into the BBC’s slanted coverage of the Middle East conflict, in particular in regards to Israel, has become the subject of an intense legal battle between the corporation and the Information Tribunal that regulates the media giant. A few months ago a report was published by the BBC Board of Governors on the organization’s coverage of the Middle East. It found that the BBC was not systemically biased, i.e. the organization was not constructed in such a way that created bias, but stated that the public believed its news coverage was slanted against Israel. But BBC executives admitted last year that the organization is “dominated by homosexuals, people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside, and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians”. Not what they had in mind

Going by last week’s Hamas-Fatah agreement, it is prudent to conclude that the Bush administration’s strategy of encouraging Saudi Arabia to counter rising Iranian influence in the Middle East is not yielding the expected result.

At its root, there remains an irreconcilable difference of perception about Hamas between the White House and the Saudi rulers, with the former regarding it as a terrorist organisation and the latter as an Islamist entity worthy of its patronage.

Most observers agree that the deal that the top Hamas and Fatah leaders signed in Mecca signified the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, moving towards Hamas, and not the other way around as Washington had wished. Continue reading “Not what they had in mind”

Is Abbas Sabotaging the Palestinians?

By Phil Zabriskie/Jerusalem

Often, the ideological intransigence of Hamas is blamed for impeding Palestinian unity. But on Sunday it was the moderate Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas who dealt a potentially debilitating blow to the nascent Palestinian “unity” government — by appointing Mohammed Dahlan, the most divisive figure on the Palestinian political scene today, to the office of National Security Adviser.

The unity government was ratified on Saturday, in simultaneous proceedings in both Gaza and the West Bank connected via video conference technology to overcome Israeli prohibitions on most Palestinians’ traveling between the two locations. Israel’s response was predictably negative; officials pointed out that the new government had not accepted international demands to renounce violence and recognize Israel, and that even the moderates who now run key ministries are tainted by their political cohabitation with Hamas. Other governments showed more flexibility, ranging from full recognition of the new government (Norway, Arab countries) through cautious optimism (the European Union, Russia, the United Nations) to the idea that it might be possible to deal with ministers who were not members of Hamas (Britain, and even the United States). Israel’s right to be racist

The matter-of-factness with which the state of Israel claims the right to treat non-Jews as lesser animals is shocking and annuls any move towards peace, writes Joseph Massad*

Israel’s struggle for peace is a sincere one. In fact, Israel desires to live at peace not only with its neighbours, but also and especially with its own Palestinian population, and with Palestinians whose lands its military occupies by force. Israel’s desire for peace is not only rhetorical but also substantive and deeply psychological. With few exceptions, prominent Zionist leaders since the inception of colonial Zionism have desired to establish peace with the Palestinians and other Arabs whose lands they slated for colonisation and settlement. The only thing Israel has asked for, and continues to ask for in order to end the state of war with the Palestinians and its Arab neighbours, is that all recognise its right to be a racist state that discriminates by law against Palestinians and other Arabs and grants differential legal rights and privileges to its own Jewish citizens and to all other Jews anywhere. The resistance that the Palestinian people and other Arabs have launched against Israel’s right to be a racist state is what continues to stand between Israel and the peace for which it has struggled and to which it has been committed for decades. Indeed, this resistance is nothing less than the “New anti- Semitism”.

Israel is willing to do anything to convince Palestinians and other Arabs of why it needs and deserves to have the right to be racist. Even at the level of theory, and before it began to realise itself on the ground, the Zionist colonial project sought different means by which it could convince the people whose lands it wanted to steal and against whom it wanted to discriminate to accept as understandable its need to be racist. Activists Aim to Kick Apartheid Out of Football

Worldwide ActivismWorldwide Activism

Worldwide Activism, Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign, April 22nd, 2006

Palestine activists have launched a move to get Apartheid Israel suspended from the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) in protest against the ongoing subjugation of the Palestinian people and as part of the wider global call for boycott, divestment and sanctions against the Occupation.

FIFA is the sport’s governing body worldwide and numerous letters in support of the action have been sent to its President, Sepp Blatter. An online petition has already gathered more than 4,000 signatures.

The campaigners point out the consequences the Occupation and Apartheid has on their lives and professional possibilities. The petition highlights Apartheid Israel’s “obstruction of Palestinian representation and participation in international sports,” as part of a campaign by the Occupation to “deny Palestinian national identity.” This campaign is orchestrated throughout the whole of Palestinian society, of which football is just one example. Sanhedrins & their claim to The Third Temple

Third Temple
Rabbi: Muslims would agree to Third Temple
1/3/07

Rabbi Dov Stein of the Jewish Sanhedrin has told YNet News that he believes Muslims would agree to the rebuilding of the Third Temple, and that Islam has not always been so hostile to Judaism. Stein believes the Al-Aqsa Mosque was built to protect the Temple Mount site specifically for the rebuilding of the Third Temple. The Rabbi made the remarks after it was revealed that the Sanhedrin has decided to purchase a flock of sheep to sacrifice at the Temple Mount site this Pesach (Passover).Quote: “Asked if his organization sought to rebuild the third Temple, Stein’s answer was unequivocal. “We want to establish the Temple again. Unfortunately, standing in our way is a hostile regime, the Israeli government, and rabbis who for political interest don’t want this to happen.” Stein even suggested that Muslims would agree to the project, saying: “The Omar Mosque (the Dome of the Rock), built by Khalif Omar, was actually intended to safeguard the site for the Jews. Islam hasn’t always been so hostile. Despite its hatred and massacres against us, Islam sees in Judaism a source and a guide. I think the moment will come that Muslims understand the need to build the Temple and go along with us.”

The Sanhedrin is not recognized by the Israeli government, but it claims to be the highest legal body in the land of Israel. The Sanhedrin is seeking to abolish the secular government and replace it with a monarchy that would rule by the Torah. For this reason I doubt the Sanhedrin will get their way this Passover. The excavations at the Mugrabi gate have been controversial enough without religious Jews plotting the destruction of the Mosque of Omar and the rebuilding of the Third Temple. The Bible says it will eventually happen though, but we’re not told how. Who knows, perhaps when the False Prophet appears on the scene, who will seemingly unite apostate Christendom, Judaism and Islam, maybe then the Muslims will “understand the need to build the Temple”.

Sanhedrin buys flock to sacrifice at Temple site

This link from Cheryl and Jennifer…

The recently formed Sanhedrin, a legal body consisting of 71 prominent Rabbis in Israel, has arranged to purchase a flock of sheep for sacrificial rituals ahead of the upcoming Passover. The Sanhedrin was formed several years ago, and was one of the first news items that prompted me to start this website. The Sanhedrin had not existed for over 1600 years, having been dissolved after the diaspora. The group reformed on the 13th of October, 2004, and are actively seeking to re-establish the monarchy of Israel. The Sanhedrin considers itself the highest legal body in the land of Israel, and opposed the government’s decision to disengage from Gaza, stating that it was against Torah. Digging up more hostility

Palestinians have demonstrated en masse against Israel’s demolition work in Jerusalem, which could lead to the eruption of a third intifada.

Rajnaara Akhtar

The dangerous events unfolding this week in Jerusalem are reminiscent of Ariel Sharon’s “storming” of the al-Aqsa sanctuary in September 2000 and the consequences that followed are likely to be equally as volatile this time. Following a build-up of Israeli troops around Jerusalem’s old city over the weekend and the restrictions on Palestinians from entering the holy al-Aqsa sanctuary, the Palestinian community went on high alert and requested neighbouring Arab states to intervene.

While access restrictions are nothing abnormal in Jerusalem, this is no ordinary security operation. Israeli bulldozers moved to the Moroccan corner of the al-Aqsa compound and on Tuesday morning, began demolishing a ramp and two rooms considered part of the al-Aqsa sanctuary. This area gives direct access to the holy site, and it is historically known as the Meghribi quarters, after the Moroccan inhabitants who lived there prior to the 1967 Israel/Arab war. Since then, the Israeli occupation and illegal annexation of Jerusalem meant its Arab residents were forced to leave and this part of the old city which overlooks the western wall is now exclusively Jewish.

Palestinians have demonstrated en masse against Israel’s actions, and the Palestinian prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, took it seriously enough to specifically issue a statement saying that he suspected Israel was trying to directly harm the al-Aqsa compound. The destruction of Islamic holy sites constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and international law, especially the fourth Geneva convention (1949), which prohibits the destruction of civilian properties. Talking to the enemy

The recent Guardian debate between Hamas and Israel is a small but important step forward.

Ismail Patel

The Guardian has achieved what recent politicians, academics and diplomats have failed to do – it has created a forum for debate by bringing together two sides of a six-decade long conflict by printing Khalid Mish’al’s article and the subsequent response by Zvi Heifetz, the Israeli ambassador in London. This is a small, but under the circumstances, significant achievement.

The past year has been an experience in new depths of pain for the Palestinian people. While Israel has vehemently worked to disfranchise Hamas since its inception, this reached new intensity following Hamas’ election victory in January 2006.

Mr Heifetz’s response to Mr Mish’al is telling of Hamas’ reality: a party that has not only been given a mandate by its people but is slowly being acknowledged by almost all of its neighbouring states as a legitimate authority over Palestinians.

Even President Abbas, who has resisted conceding to the Hamas mandate for so long, both acknowledged Mr Mish’al as the rightful leader of Hamas and accepted Hamas’ terms recently in Mecca. This admittance by President Abbas consequently meant that the summit between US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, President Abbas and prime minister Olmert became all but insignificant on the ground.

This is an indication of the waning influence of those present and the absence of the real power broker for the Palestinians – Hamas.

In his comment, Mr Heifetz presumes a failure in Hamas’ achievements over the past year. Yet their success lies in the reality that a year ago neither he nor any of his contemporaries would have bothered to respond to Mr Mish’al publicly, especially if it was only an article in a newspaper.

However, Hamas in the past year has not only provided the Palestinians with a transparent, accountable and honest government but has further spelled out two significant points: the Palestinian struggle for liberation will continue despite Israeli, US and European sanctions and will verify that political Islam and democracy can go hand in glove.

While accusations against Palestinians for their refusal to recognise Israel are rife; a quick glance over Israel’s own history, even prior to its inception in 1948 shows a state that has been unwilling to recognise even the existence of a Palestinian people.

From the pre-Israel “land without a people” propaganda, to politicians like the late Golda Meir stating “there is no such thing as a Palestinian people”, there are innumerable examples of a failure to recognise an entire population. However, these facts are rarely mentioned when Israel demands that Palestinians recognise its existence, while simultaneously refusing to clarify the exact boundaries of the state it is being asked to recognise. Even after the Oslo Accords of 1993, Israel finally recognised the Palestinian people but not Palestine.

Since coming to power in January 2006, Hamas has also been faced with numerous provocative Israeli military strikes against the Palestinian people, including the Beit Hanoun and Gazabeach massacres, and in total over 600 were killed. It also faced the arrest and imprisonment of its ministers and MPs, but it constrained its right to retaliate.

Yet the international community, which should have allowed the Hamas government to dedicate its efforts in ameliorating the dire situation of its people, instead catapulted it into a political abyss by imposing sanctions and boycotts. The US went as far as funding Fatah’s leader, Mr Abbas, in recruiting a presidential guard which would sow the seeds of a civil conflict leading to over 100 Palestinian deaths.

Despite these alarming efforts by Israel, the US and European powers to destabilise Hamas, since coming to power it has made phenomenal concessions. Hamas leaders such as Ismail Haniya have confirmed that peace and security for Palestinians comes before their own positions in government. Thus, they have obliged the international community in its demand for the formation of a unity government and accepted to have only nine ministers out of a total of 19.

Most recently, Mr Mish’al stated in the Guardian that Hamas is willing to establish a “sovereign and independent Palestinian state on the territories occupied by Israel in June 1967”. This statement from a government whose leaders have sacrificed their personal standing and interests over their nation’s freedom needs to be taken seriously. It is high time the international community called upon Israel for once to prove its commitment to peace by abiding by international law and dozens of UN resolutions dating as far back as 1948.

As a first step and a goodwill gesture, perhaps Israel can begin by demolishing the wall that is being built deep in the 1967-occupied territories, deliberately creating new facts on the ground and pre-empting the creation of any viable Palestinian state outside the green line border. Maybe then the world will start to believe Israel is serious about peace.

Cracks in the Quartet-EU leaders bend rules for Hamas

Peace process
EU leaders bend rules for Hamas

22/2/07  Darrell… according to Evenmore.co.uk

Following the Mecca agreement between Hamas and Fatah over the formation of a national unity government, it seems that the cracks in the wall of isolation surrounding Hamas, the Quartet (EU, US, UN, Russia), are continuing to grow. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has stated he hoped that the Quartet could lift the sanctions against the Palestinian unity government. This statement was issued before the Quartet members gathered in Berlin to discuss the exact details of the Mecca agreement, and whether it met the three demands of the Quartet, that Hamas recognize Israel’s right to exist, renounce violence and abide by previous agreements made by the PLO.

Quote: “”I hope that the Quartet will favor a lifting of the financial and economic sanctions which were imposed by Israel. That will be the position of Russia, the European Union and the UN Secretary-General,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the Rossiskaya Gazeta newspaper.

Russia was also one of the first nations to break the international political boycott against Hamas, by inviting the terrorist organization to Moscow for talks. It seems Lavrov believes the Israelis are the ones that are hindering peace, not Hamas. Sadly, some European nations are also doing their best to water down the three principles of the Quartet. Prime Minister Tony Blair, along with other European diplomats, have reportedly met with Hamas officials despite their word that they wouldn’t, and despite the boycott and Hamas being listed as a terrorist organization by the European Union. Tony Blair has stated it may be possible to achieve some sort of agreement, even with some of the “sensible” people in Hamas.

His former Foreign Minister Jack Straw tried the same trick, by insisting that Hamas did not necessarily have to recognize Israel’s “right” to exist, just the “fact” of its existence. Of course, recognizing the “fact” of Israel’s existence is poles apart from recognizing its right to exist, for you can recognize the fact of a state’s existence but still wage a war of terror against it to destroy it. Downing Street were holding a live web chat with the current Foreign Minister Margaret Becket, and I asked the question if the Foreign Minister would demand full recognition of Israel’s right to exist, for anything less is no recognition at all. Unfortunately Mrs Becket’s schedule has clashed with the live web chat, and it has been postponed. Why so concerned about full recognition? Because of the following news. It seems, as predicted, world leaders may be prepared to accept a long term truce from Hamas, for the sake of some sort of peace.

Quote: “A Hamas source claimed Britain and France held meetings with the terror group in which discussions addressed the possibility of breaking an international financial embargo imposed on the PA since Hamas won parliamentary elections. The source claimed Britain and France are “coming to terms” with the Hamas position of mediating the so-called Israeli-Palestinian conflict with a long-term cease-fire instead of final status negotiations in which the PA would agree to peace with Israel in exchange for a Palestinian state. The source said the two countries asked Hamas for a position paper outlining ideas for a long-term truce with Israel.

Friends, the Bible states that the next event on the prophetic calendar (not including the rapture) is an idle peace in the Middle East. It is after this peace is formed that Gog and his Islamic armies march on Israel. It seems that a long term truce will offer a temporary way out for the impasse in the Middle East, and that neither Hamas nor Fatah will be obligated to recognize Israel. You can be sure that the result of this “peace” will be that Palestinian terrorist organizations will start building their munitions to prepare for the day when they decide to attempt the final destruction of Israel.

Axis of Evil denies Unity Govt.

JERUSALEM, Feb 17 (Reuters) – U.S. President George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert have agreed to jointly shun a Palestinian unity government unless it meets international conditions, Olmert’s office said on Saturday.

An official in Olmert’s office told Reuters that the agreement was reached in a telephone conversation on Friday between the two leaders.

“We won’t recognise a unity government that doesn’t explicitly accept the conditions. This is the joint U.S.-Israeli position,” the official said, confirming Israeli television reports.

U.S. officials had no immediate comment.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah reached a power-sharing deal with Hamas leaders to form a unity government in talks in Mecca earlier this month.

The unity government agreement makes no explicit commitment to recognise Israel or renounce violence, as demanded by Israel and the so-called Quartet of Middle East mediators.

where’s the Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant is a treasure chest revealed by our Lord in the Qur’an and which contains the property of the Prophet Moses and the Prophet Aaron. According to Islamic scholars, the most important feature of the Ark is that its whereabouts have been unknown since 587 BC, and it is generally accepted by them that it will be found by the Mahdi, an individual who will appear in the end times. (God knows best.)The Ark of the Covenant is a subject to which attention is drawn in the hadiths (sayings of our Prophet [peace be upon him]) and in various historical sources, and is also referred to in the Qur’an, revealed by our Lord. The Torah, a divine text that was subsequently corrupted, also contains information about this chest. The Ark, regarded by Islamic scholars as heralding an age when Qur’anic moral values will prevail on earth, is described in these terms in the Qur’an:

Their Prophet said to them, ‘The sign of his kingship is that the Ark will come to you, containing serenity from your Lord and certain relics left by the families of Musa and Harun. It will be borne by angels. There is a sign for you in that if you believe. (Qur’an, 2: 248)

Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh organized a demonstration outside the national mosque after Jummah prayers today (03 February 2006) to protest against the printing of cartoons by the European press insulting the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Chief Coordinator and Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh, Mohiuddin Ahmed strongly condemned the attack on the Prophet (SAW) and said the terrorist West is conducting a crusade against Islam in the name of free speech and war on terror. He said that free speech was nothing more than another weapon of the West to fight its crusade against Islam and Muslims. The disbelievers around the world are joining their ranks to attack Islam, abuse theQuran, insult the Prophet (SAW), kill and torture Muslims and loot the resources of the Muslim Ummah. Mohiuddin Ahmed added that the agent and corrupt rulers have failed to protect the Muslims and their aqeedah. Furthermore, they continue to bow down in prostration to their European and American masters. The Muslims must reject the servants of the West – Awami League and BNP, establish the Khilafah government and join their ranks under the banner of the Khilafah to protect their belief and honour.

Mohiuddin Ahmed called upon the government to immediately issue a clear and unequivocal public statement condemning the attack on the Prophet (SAW) and made the following demands:

  1. The government must recall its ambassador’s from Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway and Holland;
  2. The embassies of these European countries must be closed down and their ambassador’s must be expelled.

Deputy spokesperson Kazi Murshedul Haque and Dr Syed as well as other central leaders of Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh were also present at the demonstration.
